dc.description.abstract Background:- long acting reversible contraceptive is a most effective modern contraceptive method that includes an intrauterine device and implants, which prevents unintended and closely spaced pregnancy, and when removed return to fertility. Objective: Magnitudes and Associated factors of long acting reversible contraceptive Utilization among women of reproductive age group those who utilized family planning service in Nifas Silk Lafto sub city public health centers, AA, Ethiopia, 2023. Methodology: A health facility based Cross-sectional study was conducted using the sample of 422 on LARC utilization of reproductive age women in Nifas Silk Lafto Sub City Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from April, 15/2023 – May 15/2023. A non-probability sampling method was employed to select study participants. Primary data sources were used and a close ended questionnaire was used to collect data. SPSS version 20 software was used to analyze data. Descriptive analysis was done by for frequencies and percent's. Bivariate and Multivariable logistic regression analysis was used, to assess statistical association of selected variables on utilization of LARC. Result: The magnitude of overall utilization of LARC was 34.6 %( 95%CI: (30.3-39.1). Women’s education status of the result confirmed that women who had Bachelor and above and TVET were 9.99 and 12.9 times more likely utilize LARC than no formal education status with AOR=12.9(95%CI: 2.800-35.697) and AOR=9.99,(95% CI:3.753-44.667) respectively. Women’s ever had ever abortion 2.05 times more likely utilize LARC than no abortion with AOR=2.05, (95%CI: 1.109-3.797). women’s who had exposed to LARC message through mass media were 1.75 times more likely utilize LARC not exposed to LARC with AOR=1.75,(95%CI: 1.011-3.031). The odds of positive attitude to use LARC methods are 2.39 time more likely than that of negative attitude AOR=2.39, (95%CI: 1.497-3.845). Conclusion and Recommendation: This study determined the magnitude of LARC utilization among women of reproductive age group was low compared with national target of LARC use. There was significant association with Women’s educational status, history of abortion, exposure to LARC message through mass media within last 12-months, and attitude are predicators of LARC utilization. Health centers should Ensuring the availability of information transmitting material posters, leaflets, TV/radio that helps client to understand the benefits of LARC methods use. Service providers should explain benefits and side effect, should follow clinical procedures, and continued LARC method counseling to change negative attitude on use.
