dc.description.abstract Back ground: In Africa a healthcare worker suffers two to four needle stick injuries per year. Studies reported that there is high prevalence of needle stick injury among health professionals in Ethiopia. But previous studies in Ethiopia were focused on referral hospitals and urban settings. So far, no study was made on this study area Konso zone on the topic. This study included rural health facilities and is anticipated to be an entry for future research and intervention. en_US
