Abstract:
Prostate cancer is a common type of cancer in men Globally. It is the world's second most diagnosed disease and the fifth major cause of cancer-related deaths. In Ethiopia, it is the 3rd most common type of cancer. Having awareness of Prostate cancer is the key to early detection and prevention. The major risk factors for prostate cancer were controllable by increasing public awareness. The study aimed to assess the status of awareness about prostate cancer and its associated factors among male patients attending a Urology unit at Tikur Anbessa Specialized Hospital, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 2021.
