dc.description.abstract Patient satisfaction is characterized as a subjective and complex concept, including physical,emotional, mental, social, and social components. Globally, increasing thoughts has been given to the evaluation of patient satisfaction as a strategy of observing for the quality of health care provision in the health care institutions. Quantitative institutional based cross sectional study was conducted and a total of 422 elective surgical patients from 3 public hospitals at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia were included. Study participants were allocated proportionally based on the average surgery done per month in selected hospitals. Data were collected using pre-tested and interviewed structured questionnaires. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS version25.0. Bivariate and multivariate analysis was conducted to examine association between independent and outcome variables. en_US
