dc.description.abstract Background and rationale: Even though there is increasing service coverage to ANC, there is still some gaps in the service delivery and not many studies are done to asses these gaps from clients’ point of view in order to have an informed decision making process in delivering a quality service. Objective: The study aims to assess the level of clients’ satisfaction on ANC service provision among pregnant women attending ANC clinic at public health centers of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in 2018. METHODS: A facility based cross-sectional study was conducted on 425 pregnant mothers from October 15, 2018 to October 30, 2018 using clients’ exit interviews. The data was compiled, cleaned and analyzed using spss version 20. Descriptive techniques were used to determine the level of association and display findings. Bivariate and multivariate analyses were employed to measure association and identify predictors of client satisfaction respectively. Odds ratios with 95% confidence intervals were also calculated. Results: The overall satisfaction of clients’ is found to be 72.7% (95% ci: 68.5, 77.2). Educational status, marital status, frequency of ANC visits; pregnancy type (planned/ not planned) time of stay inside the examination room and waiting time for the service were identified by the final model as the important predictors of client satisfaction with antenatal care services. Conclusion and recommendations: Efforts should be made towards improving health facility cleanliness and latrine, giving full information to the clients’ and client privacy as well as identifying the causes and minimizing waiting time by clients in relation to ANC visits and services. .........................................
